We are very excited about the pool opening coming up on May 29th! After a long year all of us are looking forward to enjoying our pool, Waves Swim Team and Water Polo Team. Please ensure you read below about the pool updates as we are continuing in the Bridge Phase for the State of Illinois.
Capacity
Our Pool complies with the State, IDPH and DuPage County Health Department. At this time there are restrictions on number of quests that can enter the pool area and it is based on a combination of square footed as well as 60% capacity. During this Bridge Phase we will be allowing 200 members into the pool area. We will monitor this number as folks check in and leave and we will continue at this level until we move to Phase 5 and additional restrictions are lifted.
Chairs will be spread out to allow social distancing and we ask that you not move chairs. The chairs will also be set up in the grass to ensure we can allow more members to enter the pool. As there will be chairs in the grass we also are not allowing ball games to be played in the grass.
Mask Requirements
We ask that if you have not been fully vaccinated (two weeks past your last shot) that you wear a mask at the pool when you are not in the water.
All children 11 and under will be required to wear a mask at the pool unless they are in the water.
All members are required to wear masks when using the washrooms.
Pool Logistics/Rentals/Concessions/Food and Grills
We ask that you not use the locker rooms to change. We want to limit them to bathroom use only.
Entrance during the Bridge Phase will be at the side gate by the tennis courts. We are doing this to limit folks entering the locker rooms. When you exit the pool, you will also exit via the same gate.
While we are in the Bridge Phase, we will not be booking any rentals for parties at the pool.
Concessions will be open and as we continue into the summer, we will be able to increase our offerings at concessions.
The water fountain will be in use for filling water bottles only. No drinking from the fountain.
You can bring food into the pool.
Grills will be available but you will need to check them in and out as they will need to be fully cleaned after each use.
Guests/Grandchildren/Adult Children
During this Bridge Phase to ensure we can allow as many members into the pool as possible we are not going to allow any guests into the pool and that includes Grandchildren and Immediate Adult Children. When we move to Phase 5, we will move back to our normal rules. The Governor is looking to make this move to Phase 5 around June 11th.
Membership
All homeowners are automatically members when they pay their annual dues. If dues have not been paid homeowners and their families will not be allowed to enter the pool.
Outside Non-resident members that were members in good standing in 2019/2020 will automatically be sent a link to join the pool again and pay membership dues if they have not yet been paid.
New Membership Program (Mandatory for Pool Entrance)
We will be using a new automated membership tool this year. Signing up via the link that will be sent to you the week of May 24th will be required for entry to the pool. Once you receive the link you will be able to set up your account, enter your children names, summer caregiver name as well as pictures. The program we are using is called ESoft and it is a full Pool and Tennis Membership software solution that will help us become more automated and secure. This will have many benefits for us.
- Ensure only members are allowed entrance. Having names of all members and their pictures will streamline our check in process as well.
- All members will need to accept our pool rules when they sign up.
- Ability to buy guest passes online.
- Sign up for classes and rentals.
- Ability for us to communicate with the neighborhood and/or all members via email.
We will have folks at the pool to help with membership set up outside the front gate the opening weekend.
If you did not pay for annual dues this year via credit cards, we mostly likely do not have your email address. Please send your email to president@hobsonwest.org and we will send you the link to register for the new membership site.
All non-resident members please confirm your membership and email also with president@hobsonwest.org where we can also answer any questions, you have.
If you have any questions, please ping any of our HOA Board Members who are listed on www.hobsonwest.org
